Tim Hetherington’s sleeping soldiers will always remind me of the quieter moments of a conflict. amongst all the blood, shock and tension there are real people beneath the veneer of the “action”. Besides this the images serve as a constant reminder to the debt owed by those who dare to witness such things and bring back humane stories apart from the action that individuals become numb too. A reminder to the knowledge that people should impart and the situations we should all try to understand. This goes for both sides.
God bless you.
